The Sequoia Field Station offers a truly unique experience, nestled in the heart of the historic Wolverton Ski Area, just a mile from Giant Forest. Our one cabin and research/classroom facility provide the perfect jumping off point for research and an ideal environment for writing retreats.

Our cozy one-room cabin can accommodate up to 4 people, with 2 twin beds and a futon to ensure a comfortable night’s rest. The research/classroom building (aka the Ol’ Ski Shop) offers storage space and staging areas for research equipment and activities.

Wolverton is accessible year-round, offering a range of outdoor activities and adventures, and our cabin is equipped with wifi access to keep you connected during your stay. Please note that cell phone service is sparse at the Wolverton facilities, creating a truly secluded and peaceful environment.

At the Sequoia Field Station, we strive to provide a range of facilities to meet your needs, including alternative lodgings such as campgrounds, available on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the station director for assistance in making special arrangements in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park.

Pricing, policies and reservations for using these facilities can be found here.
